Getting your paperwork ready for a VA cash-out refinance

Step 1: COE first

Prep note

Lenders need your Certificate of Eligibility to confirm you can use the VA benefit and to see your entitlement and funding fee status. Many lenders can retrieve it online in minutes; you can also request it yourself through VA. Getting it early surfaces any record problems before the appraisal is ordered.
